Secure Finances -
Better Government
From strong
finances to innovative programs such as 311 and Project
Independence, Jon Kaiman has changed the landscape of the Town
of North Hempstead.
First and foremost, under Jon Kaiman’s leadership the Town of
North Hempstead remains in a strong financial position. As
recently as September 1, 2011, Standard and Poor’s Municipal
Finance Division issued a report that North Hempstead’s high
credit rating reflects “the town’s continued strong financial
position and financial management.” It also references the
town’s “low debt burden as measured against market value.”
This is consistent with the Moody’s Credit Rating Agency,
which reported in its September 27, 2010 analysis that the
Town of North Hempstead “will continue to maintain a strong
financial position, through conservative budgeting (and)
strong internal controls…”
According to Supervisor Jon Kaiman, “The Town’s work on our
parks and roads, our infrastructure improvements, our
innovative programming is all made possible because of our
strong financial position which we have maintained over the
years and made it our top priority.”
